High School Students

Looking for a place to meet students outside of your high school, build your leadership skills, and affect local politics? Looking to beef up your college application, fill the gaps in your resume, or even fulfill community service credits for your school? FVA is the place for you!

You can get involved in many ways! Check it out:

  1. Come to our Youth Congress! Every year in the Spring, young people from around New York City get together and decide on what FVA will focus on for the year to come. Provide your input – we want to hear what you have to say!
  2. Join our Youth Steering Committee! If you are devoted to our resolutions, you can help see them enacted by joining our youth leadership. The YSC meets every Tuesday at 4:30pm. If you want to get involved in the political process on a week to week basis, then this is the place for you.
  3. Start a Future Voters Club in your school! Clubs are responsible for creating a year-long project that will somehow improve their school or the surrounding community. It is an exercise in community service and youth leadership. If you are a strong student leader, then starting a Future Voters Club is a great way to test your leadership skills.
  4. Volunteer with Future Voters of America! We could use your input. During the summers, we have volunteer opportunities available for youth who need community service credits. Join our efforts to make the voices of young people heard in New York City politics.
